I've got mine installed now. I get a squeal at the end of the blow off cycle. Is this normal for this valve?

I think the sound is normal. That's what mine sounds like. A little bit like the Greddy Type-S whistle.

What is everyone setting their valve at (how many turns)? And are you running it VTA or recirculated?

I'm having a little bit of fluttering at high RPM partial throttle. But tightening it up seems to make it worse. I'm at about 1 1/2 turns from the far left right now.

The sqeak is normal. A side-effect we did not anticipate before our initial testing, but it is normal nonetheless. Typically it will only be heard in recir. mode, as the whoosh in VTA mode would drown out the sound, but it is something we have experienced yet there have been no adverse side effects of this sound.

JUst got the valve yesterday and install it today. SO far I like this bov a lot. No stalling and holding 21 psi fine. It makes a whistle rather then a whoosh sound which I hope is normal.

The only thing I did not like is it's leaking between the flange and bov. I knew there was going to be some issues so I boost leak check after the install and it was leaking. I tried using teflon tape with no success. I end up using gasket maker to seal the entire area but that made a mess on the bov, looks wise that is. Other then this issue the bov is great.

Anyone else have the leak issue? If anyone feels like they lost power after installing this bov I recommend that you check the flange and bov connection.

Mike, I've been trying to access the Forge Motorsport web page to purchase an RS Valve but the site seems to be down. Any idea when it will be back up?

Some changes are being made to the site and the server to correct some issues we've been experiencing recently. I was told it should be back up sometime Monday morning.

This DV is RIDICULOUS.. Best DV I've tested on an Evo by far. It makes my Japanese MR DV look like a POS in comparison. I can't even make it surge on partial throttle liftoff no matter how much I try. The best praise I can bestow on it is that it is seemless in operation and makes the car feel almost NA. It dramatically exceeded my expectations and is worth every penny of full retail.

Thanks Mike, I friggin' love this valve!

Check for a leak between the flange and bov. I have about 2 1/2 turn from the weakest spring setting.

What kind of boost level are you running. Mine held 21 psi fine with 2 1/2 turns

Not sure what you mean by whining noise. Everytime I let go of the gas it makes a whistle rather then a whoosh sound but I'm assuming that's normal. I boost leak test after I install the bov before test driving and saw that it was leaking and fixed the leak. You won't know if it's leaking unless you blow air into the turbo outlet and spray soap on the bov
