Anyone here this "mysterious" evo loss in power?

I was filling up at a local gas station not far from my house. One of the gas attendants there was a fellow student of my old highschool. We started bs'ing and he comes out from left field and says, "so, have you experienced the mysterious loss in power, yet?" and i replied, wtf? So apparently, I either didnt read the thread that was posted on here or its a rumor flying around. Personally, i do not care and i told him i dont believe most of the things i read on message forums, anyhow. I just wanted to know if anyone else heard this "interesting" claim.

I'll leave named sources out of the equation.

Yeah, that's when you get a girlfriend that adds weight to the car and you can no longer afford to hook up your ride. Its no mystery at all.

I experienced this also, but only because when I first bought the car, the temp was in the 50's and now its 80's and very humid here in the northeast.

Heat and Humidity will kill power. On the Dyno I saw about a 10whp decrease due to the heat. (70 degree fall weather versus 85+/High Humidity Summer weather). Here in Georgia My car feels different between night and day.

Yea, thats what i told him. Either boost leak or different dynos or humidity/heat. Cause he was saying 30 hp and 20 tq. I found it all humorous.

Maybe he's referring to that stalling issue, where loud noises (such as muscle cars along side) cause the knock sensor to stall the car? I think this only happened to some 2003 Evos.

Well, ok, i'll come out with the source. It was on a vw forum somewhere. Vortex? I wasnt really paying attention when i heard vw. badbrain, my car does that. If i slam the hood it stumbles and if loud cars pass me at idle my car stumbles.
