Cams

I just got my GSC 264i and 272e cams in from Lancershop. Now my questions is this, Which one is the intake and which one is the exhaust? They are both numbered but is the #1 the intake and #2 exhaust or is it the other way around? My other question is will this idle fine for the time being with out a tune? I am trying to get a tune by jestr in O-town. I don't plan on driving the car at all until I go to see jestr.

You can't tell them apart really if they are out of the box. If the box says 264 intake, then thats the intake cam.

And yes, it should be fine without a tune....won't run GREAT, but it will run fine.

I'd just guessing but I'd say 1 is intake and 2 is exhaust... Just makes the most sense. I wouldn't want to risk your 30,000 car though. I'm sure someone will let you know.

The exhaust cam will have a hole in the end of it where it's threaded because the cam angle sensor bolts into it. The intake cam does not have the hole. It's pretty easy to tell the difference one you open upy our cylinder head and swap out the stock cams.
