Question MIVEC 4g63 tuning

Do you guys think that the new motor (Valve Train/Head) will be as easy to extract power as the previous non-Mivec mills?

I am just wondering. I just sold my Evo a month ago and I am having serious withdrawl symptoms.

These thoughts of a 06' Evo RS keep dancing inside of my head. I am just curious if the wait is worth it, or if the 05's will be golden?

Nobody knows, so it probably wouldn't be best to decide based on what people "think" unless someone has recently uncovered some information. Although the IX has been released in other countries, I have yet to see any comments about ease of tuning. One thing that's for sure is that you can't go wrong with an 05 and that it is a beast right out of the box, but I don't think it would make as much of a difference if you went all the way to an upgraded turbo, because then the 05 upgrades don't mean as much. I forget if the 04 RS had the FLSD or not, which is a very important part. If you already had it, then it's no big deal...if you didn't, then it's a BIG deal.

Why, because I am freaking curious. I figured that some experienced members may have some opinions that may help to sway my decision. Thanks for the cold welcomes n00bs (silvery_eagle and Tsuara). You may want to check your member number and join date before you decide to flame somebody.

Warrtalon, thanks for the constructive input. I appreciaite it greatly.

I sold it because I was tired of making payments on it. Now, as I stated above, I am jonesing for horsepower.

if just tuning mivec in itself, RRM has had really good luck with the Ralliart, and Turbo tech in puerto rico has even gotten their Ralliart to 400+ whp/tq, so im sure with everything else new additions will take time to learn, but once its figured out then tuning shouldnt be too hard

I dunno, but I have argued this point in a previos thread I started my buddies and I think the 05 EVO with the old fashioned-traditional 4G63 is Golden.
