looking for intake kit w/o MAF

Im looking for a intake kit that doesnt use the stock MAF. I prefer one that sits lower and doesnt bend upwards at high cause im afraid it might hit my upper ic pipe.

the buschur pipe adapted very well to running without the MAF, but you need the old style that has the two bends in it, it'll sit low enough for most intercooler pipes.

Dejon Tool also offers a pipe that can be used in a non-maf setup.

On my car, I used the Buschur earlier pipe, I plugged the recirc fitting (since I do swap back to a MAF on occasion for testing) and got a large cylindrical K&N filter to use up the remaining space (I think 5 or 6" by 3.75" or so with a 3" inlet)

Yah there are two versions of the PowerFC, one is a speed density setup, the other utilizes the stock MAF.. On my car, I have the hardware to take out the stock maf and run a blowthrough sensor (not speed density, but a different type of MAF) but in the process I had to put together a non-maf intake pipe so I reused the pipe I had. In your case, if you want to buy one, you can get a kit with the filter already included from Dejontool, or ask buschur for one of his non-maf versions of the pipe which will have no recirculation fitting and then pick up the K&N filter that he recommends for it (or if he includes one, I don't know)

good thread, just in time as I am switching to aem and need a pipe with no maf as well. I am going with the ams up i/c pipe, so i need something that will clear that.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to route the air filter back down to get more fresh air from under the car....it just doesn't seem to be sitting in a good spot at all.

But for stock location we have bushur or Dtool..hmmm.
