GT30R setup ...?

hey guys i own a 2003 mitsu evo 8

i am looking to go gt30r with it int he next month and im looking at everyone else setup and im confused...right now i have a hks intake that has the MAF in the intake tube if i go 30r wherw woudl the maf go i see alot of kits with out the maf ebing there

anyone have any idea so i know...??

is there a certain part that i should buy to move it or anything? should i get blow thru maf? or maf translator?

that would depend on their EMS. if they are running something like an AEM or Apex PFC, you would be able to eliminate the MAF and just use a MAP sensor.

Our 30R kit will accomadate the MAF if you would like to keep it for the time being. You can always chuck it later if you decide to go EMS / etc. However I will note I have the 30R kit. Fairly basic supporting mods, and a fairly simple tune via ecuflash. And I have no problems. The 3076R is a great match to a 2.0l. I drive this car an hour each way to work and back every day. Almost 100 miles roundtrip.

There are lots of ways to eliminate the MAF if you choose to; AEM, Maf Translator, or Maft Pro, etc.

But I haven't had any trouble with it on a pump gas tune.
