Is my stock BOV installed correctly?

I recently had the BOV replaced and wondering if it's installed correctly. The top nipple is facing the front, while the lower nipple is facing towards the engine. The main hose outlet is facing towards the battery.

If anyone can please post pictures of their stock BOV installed where i can see the routing of the hoses I'd really appreciate that.

The reason I ask is that the bov makes a whoosh accompanied by sharp hissing noise (sorry can't describe it properly) as soon as i let off that i've only heard from aftermarket BOVs.

thanks in advance.

That makes no sense.
The bottom port (opposite the vacuum port) goes into the upper IC pipe.
The side port goes into the intake pipe at the turbo.
The vacuum hose should be close to the pipe on the side of the rocker cover where it attaches.

See if this helps a little. I have the Injen intake and the MR diverter valve...but it's the same concept. The bottom part of the valve goes to the intercooler piping and the upper part of the valve goes to the intake. The blue hose (yours is more-than-likely black) is the vacuum hose.

you might have confused him with that pic... Yours is not going to look like that! If yours is installed correctly, the side port will be inside your intake. If the bottom port is in your intake, it's wrong. That's the easiest way of saying it.

Pm me and i'll take a picture of mine if you want. It's also with the MR DV, and also an HKS intake, but it will all be the same.
