Boost leak @ TB

I have a boost leak somewhere around my TB but I cant seem to locate it. Has anyone else had this issue? Where exactly was the leak?

It's not normal. Your seals on your throttlebody are bad. Its a PITA to fix, the easiest way is to find another throttlebody to replace it with.

Yea my friends car is running real low on power and we did a boost leak and found that it leaked quite a bit from the TB. When we figure out more we will post what we find.

Good luck as this is no easy fix. You have to take the whole throttlebody apart and pray it doesnt stick with new orings. I have attempted this on several cars with some success. Garrett i got you taken care off : ).

I ran a boost leak test, and it started hissing near the TB, and eventually it turned into a really loud high pitched whine.

You can hear it pretty easy, you can also mis some soap and water in a spray bottle and spray it to see where it bubbles at .

Luis, is there any other possibility or is it definitely the issue you're thinking of?

I would try to avoid using o-rings on the throttle body shaft if possible. There's a potential of the throttle body getting stuck, which can be pretty dangerous. I've used these seals on my old GSX w/ good success. They may or may not fit the EVO.
