i have had (2) perrin downpipes 3" .........BUT.........the first one worked great the second one i have had rattling, if this happens to you get a new doughnut gasket, that was te problem for me, it should have like 1 inch clearance. i spoke with perrin about it and all their downpipes are cnc bent.

The AMS stuff fits 100% perfect, they make the best exhaust for the evo, it is very light and very minimal bends, no rattles and the welds are supurb. Ignorance is bliss, I can bet if some of you guys ever see an AMS exhaust in person, you would adjust your whole outlook on what an exhaust should be.

I would give them a call.

this is very interesting... i feel i may have the same problem... why would the gasket cause the rattle tho? is it a low rpm outta first gear not enough gas rattle?

Does the JIC downpipe come with a built in o2 housing??

Can be found here: http://hellboyzracing.com/

JIC Turbo to cat stainless steel down pipe. The JIC down pipe is a three inch pipe that is a direct bolt-on unit. Jic down pipe is excellent construction - built to last and provide more flow over the stock unit.

Yeah the reason being it has a flex section. The stocker doesn't even have one. That is a weak link no no.

I just installed the A'pexi N1 downpipe, UR HF cat, and Borla cat back and I have rattles. It seem to only rattles when the exhaust gets hot after driving around. The only place where I can see causing a rattle is the downpipe hitting the subframe. It has only maybe 1/4 of gap between the dp and subframe. Waiting for my Kartboy hangers. Hopefully that will fix my problem.

buschurs will work with the 05, you just ahve to specify that you have a 05 when ordering, and it is rattle free...

My Helix downpipe hits the subframe and rattles. It's driving me crazy! I have a tubular manifold, DNP O2 housing, Random Tech HF cat, 3" Perrin exhaust; I'm wondering if the Perrin downpipe would be a better fit. Any opinions?

You don't even have to specify anymore. Every down pipe we build now will fit all EVO's. No fitment problems.

Do you have the new version 2 Helix downpipe or the original one? I heard that the new batch solves the fitment issues that the first ones had.
