Is 23lbs of boost safe for me?

never said it was crap, said the stocker was crap if you had. But, your boost gauges probably isn't off being electronic and all. but, if you are at 22-23 at 5500, i bet its 22 and falling.....

all i said was, people aren't holding 23psi past 5500, i never said anything about 22 OR 23 psi AT 5500.

It's not that you would have problems, it's that you probably are getting some knock with subsequent timing being pulled. It's not something that would be obvious when driving around. I didn't really know until I hit 4th gear at the drag strip and then again on the dyno. Without a logging device to keep track of it on a daily basis, you really don't know. I log runs all the time and tune accordingly. I get timing loss even at 21-22psi in the summer heat...

I understand what your saying, and just to make sure i did another 3rd gear pull like 20 mins ago.....i spike 1.6bar and it slowly drops, but im still at 1.5-1.4bar over 5500 and it will get real jumpy by redline but never drops below 1.3bar.
