Stock Boost Guage

Well i cant tell if i have a boost leak or if my stock mitsu guage is busted('04 evo). I am peak boosting at like 1.1 and holding at 1bar.When the car is off the guage sets a whole full line below zero. Anyone else have a stock guage that did this or do you think that the guage is just whacked out. Any help would be awesome. I have a cone filter, 3 in catback, and turbo xs rfl blow-off valve.

The gauge should sit at 0 when the car is off. If it does not the gauge is off by that amount, possibly more.

but i was wondering if that was a defect in the stock guage because i know that when you turn the car off the last fire causes vacuum in the line so that it could possibly read in the negative, but mine seems like it is to much.

Not possible. The pressure should still equalize. If the gauge does not read 0 when the car is off, then there is something wrong with it. The only way it could hold vacuum is if your intercooler piping were sealed off, which it is not.

do you think that because the guage could be electrical it can set that low and because the car is turned off the guage wont return to 0?

The gauge is not electrical, it is mechanical. That is why it should always return to 0.
