Stock MAF Capabilities
Well.... I am guessing that tomorrow or the next day I will fully test on how much the stock maf will handle. I was running it before from 25.5-27psi which would give me just about 2800 hertz. I will be tuning it tomorrow for 30psi and running at the track at the same or a tiny bit more. I am guessing the hertz will hit 3,000 or higher if possible. I believe I will be the record holder for the highest airflow through a maf. If anyone has this beat please let me know so I can know what to expect (If anything... maybe it will take it fine). Thanks!

The highest I could go with my crap plugs was this
6459 RPM 2840 Hertz at about 29-30 psi
You can get an idea on how high it will go if I could stay on the throttle.

Ill let ya know where it starts to read funny readings. Honestly I think it is starting to miss alot of counts even at the hertz level I was at. Sometimes the Hertz just dont seem linear enough to be accurate. Ill also let you know if it caps out at a certain number.. I think DSMs stock ECU caps out at 2600 flat but Its been a while since those days. I wonder if our ECU's will flatline like that. If it does flatline, hopefully the Utec wont be cut by the readings also but more gather the true readings and let the ECU think whatever it wants.

Well my clutch didnt hold the 30psi. It seemed to hold it a few times when I was testing it but at the track it couldnt much at all. I think it made 2 passes while slipping and the third pass it wouldnt hold over a few psi in second gear.
The night before the race I did get the car to 30psi though (Clutch was probably slipping then too) and the motor took it just fine. I didnt have enough time to really tune too much so it was a REALLY soft tune, incredibly low timing (Thats where I started and planned on getting it dialed in more at the track). The highest maf readings I got were at 2986 or so at only about 6.9k. Car didnt seem to cut out or anything so I am sure the MAF will take it. Now its time for some sort of a twin disk I guess. Hopefully I can get one and put it in before the shootout in two weeks.
