How is alky gonna make the car not last a while? Basic same price as an intercooler sprayer(which has been proven by dyno after dyno that it does not work)....and you lower intake temps A LOT and up the octane A LOT.

Only way your gonna make your car not run like "a turd" is if it ingests some of that nitrous through the intake....then its gonna run like a "turd with a hole in the block" from running lean.

Go back and read, here's what I wrote after that

Im pretty sure the bottle with the NX Ntercooler kit is a 5lb bottle anyway, a normal bottle is 10lb's.

And it's been covered alot, unless you suck in some nitrous through your intake, that kit is not going to make any power.

Making power is as simple as increasing cylinder pressure's, it doesn't matter if you do that through your 50 bolt ons or through a nitrous kit. I still vote for returning it and getting a normal kit. I can guarantee you once you get the Ntercooler kit on and try it, you will wish you had.

Ok, to make this clear again...I don't care about the money factor!!!! I was looking for an easy way to cool the car down during the hot texas summers when I go to the track. This is an easy fix for right now. There's a chance I will be adding alcohol injection when TurboTrix comes down here again to tune me. It makes no sense to get the alky kit now...I won't be tuned for it until October. I ordered the N'tercooler with a 10 lb bottle to give me something to play with for a little while. It's not like adding this kit is going to harm the car, I was just curious what to expect when I take the 10 lb bottle in and say "fill it up!"

Ok, but your reasoning is to cool the car off in the texas heat....which that kit WILL NOT DO.

and you don't have to be tuned for alky....spray it and crank up the boost...

I concur. Using a nitrous kit to spray the fmic is pretty stupid when you have 90% of the parts in the kit to make a solid 50-75hp.

One of these days, Im going to borrow one of the fmic spray bars from someone and actually test it. I bet spraying it on the fmic doesn't change the intake temp by enough to make any real power gain. I can measure the temp change with the ems air temp sensor in the upper ic pipe. Then maybe we can link to the data results every 4 days when this fmic spray bar topic resurfaces in a new thread.
