on a bigger turbo they sound sweeeeet!!

One question though.

An internal wastegate dumps excess boost into the downpipe? and an external wastegate dumps excess boost into the atmosphere?

Is that how they are?

That sounds so awesome! I want one. Is it worth it to put one on the stock turbo or not?

You also gain spoolup and a little topend from dumping.

I have my kit externally dumped and I love it. Yes it is very loud, but only when you want it to be. Under full throttle when the wastegate is wide open it sounds like you have no exhaust.

Tial, Turbosmart, HKS, Greddy
Buy the one you like but the work on the installation of the external wastegate has to be custom. I know Turbotrix now has a machine shop and also they are awesome at welding, give them a call. I chose the Tial 44mm just because of the Vband
