Bad boost gauge or a bigger problem?

I am currently using a blitz blm boost gauge that reads in bar i have had it set to around 1.4 bar for months now with a mail in flash. Well today i was driving and when i pressed the gas my gauge pined the gauge past 2.0 bar. Nothing bad seemed to happen, not even boost or fuel cut but as soon as i saw it happen i let out of it asap. I thought it was maybe a one time thing but everytime i press the gas it wants to go past 1.4 bar like there is nothing controlling my boost. I dont see any unhooked lines anywhere. Could my gauge be reading wrong or pinched or is something wrong with either my boost controoler or maybe my wastegate stuck? I dotn wanna damage my car or anything.

unplug boost gauge, re-plug to calibrate again with the car turned off. reset ecu, check?

when you're at idle, is it resting at 15 vac or 0?

if 0, you need to reset.

if it's not your gauge, then it's your flash. flash tend removes fuel cut for sure.

If its my flash what would cause the sudden increase to what seems to me no limit of the boost. I didnt adjust the MBC and temps around here have been steadly hot. Nothing to make up from 1.4 on up to well over 2.0

Is there a chance something is wrong with the wastegate? I unhooked everything today and nothign seems to change as soon as i press the gas pedal its tryin to boost to 2.0 I dont have any friends with turboed cars where i could hook up a different gauge to see the difference. I thought about hooking the stock boost solinoid back up.

I have had trouble with my boost gauge. my gauge reads only 11psi. However, i have a autometer gauge which is not the best boost gauge in the world. I know my cars is pushing the same boost because of races with friends on the interstate. my runs before the gauge was reading 11psi were as close as after the gauge started reading 11psi.
