1.2 bar on Evo IX !?

On my ralliart gauges the max boost reads 1.2 bars then tapers down to around 1bar. Is this boost reading accurate/common? I have read that the stock boost should be closer to 1.4bar. Any please help!

Is your car bone stock? Usually the stock gauges read pretty damn accurate.

i like psi so, roughly 17.4 dropping to 14.5 ( i think thats right). Is your car bone stock? how long have you had the car? have you checked for boost leaks? Evo's are known to have boost leaks.

Some are more or less. IXs do tend to have lower boost on occasion while still being faster than 8s.

you may have a boost leak, because the stock boost should be around 20psi then tapering down to 17 or so. but you are maxing out at 17.4 psi and tapering down to 14.5.

Or just buy a boost controller and turn up the boost.

Yeah, it's about 17-18ish max then tapers down to around 1bar/14.2psi. The weather is good, in the 70 degree range

Oh, you're just asking about the variation, meaning the boost taper? Yes, that's built-in by the ECU and is inherent with the stock turbo even with mods. If you didn't know this already, please start reading so that you can brush up on your awesome IX.

What I meant in Variation was peak boost between similar year cars. I was only getting 17ish psi max while another member said he would get closer to 20psi max both on stock evoIXs. Is that normal?
