How much boost can the stock ignition take?

I had started noticing misfiring with the stock ECU under higher boost and stock ignition very early on (december of 2003) its only recently that people are starting to notice it more than I did at the time. and I wholeheartedly agree.. The misfire is there.. plus its difficult to get stable high-rpm timing without "leading" it slightly.. Those alone were good enough reasons for me to upgrade my ignition.

my car throw a random misfire code a while ago do you think that was from blow out?
