boost trouble
boost trouble
hey i just installed my hallman pro rx boost controller. (without the in cabin option) and when i took it out for a drive to see how it was working the damn boost gauge went all the way to the freaking 2.0 bar! basically i dont kno whats wrong with it. i followed the how to install posted up here on evom.net for it and everything went fine. but when i was in 3rd and punched it, the boost held up fine. but when i shift up hard the boost just goes haywire. and when i shift normal the boost holds fine at .9 bar. so basically my boost seems to mess up when i shift up hard. any ideas whats wrong with it?

well i dont kno but the damn thing went all the way thru. i have a blitz blm boost gauge by the way... anywayz.. i took ur advice warrtalon and switched the hoses. (had already occured to me but didnt wanna mess with it anymore till i heard sumone elses opinion) anywayz.. so i switched it and the boost gauge is reading it fine and it doesnt spaz out when i shift up quickly anymore.. the problem now is that the boost gauge reads up to .9 and wont move from there... i turned the boost controller 6 full turns and i still get the boost gauge saying its at .9 .. now i dont know what to do again and hoping sumone has any thoughts on this.. thanx
yeh, those blitz boost gauge tend to go wacky sometimes.
at idle, where does the boost gauge rest? does the hose coming from the mbc free of any pinch?
I would check the hoses, then reset your boost gauge, reset ecu, then if it still does it... well...
we'll try to help figure it out then..
your setup picture will be very helpful.

i did have the boost controller turned all the way down. so i turned it all the way except for maybe 3/4 of a turn and then the whole thing just maxs out. well i didnt do it all at once i kept testing out the car to see how my boost was doing and at that setting im running on 1.4 kpa. making that like around what 20psi? real question right now being.. is that normal? to be turning the boost controller almost to its max and then still only boost 1.4 bar? i have a heavy spring for the hallman boost controller. not sure if that has anything to do with anything... actualy dont even know whats for so if you guys could tell me as well
alright thanx for all the help so far!
