Modded gt35r...

I have seen a thread on evo m where the user had a 35r with a t67 compressor wheel, and I have also seen a SUbie vendor selling somethig comporable IIRC. Is this possible? Can the larger GT40 wheel be fitted to the 35r? I have heard rumors of a GT 3788 but it hasn't come ot fruition as of yet. I am looking for closer to 700 whp on boost, but would like to run a dual BB turbo for the transient response. I just feel the GT40r's turbine housing and wheel are excessivly large and would hurt response. Basically I want a turbo that will support 700+whp, but offer similar boost reponse to a gt35r on a 2.0. This will be going on a fully built 2.4. Any turbo gurus have any recomendations? A .68 t4/t67 comes to mind but I am not sure it would offer the reponse I am looking for.

Yea you can do that with no surge problems like mine, but unfortunately the turbine wheel maxes out effectively where the compressor wheel runs out of flow... so its pointless....

To get a decient responce and the power you are looking for it is going to very hard so you will probably have to meet in the middle somewhere. Honestly if you go with the GT35R and a higher A/R like the .82 you will be as close as you can get from what you discribed above. For some reason I was thinking AMS did somthing similar and got in the power you are looking for, could be wrong though becuase they have tested so many different engine setups.

Hard question becuase very little experience has probably taken place around the exact question you asked.

very possible, and it works VERY well. The turbine wheel is actually quite an impressive match for the t67 (which happens to have virtually the same major dia as a 35R comp wheel...)
