Fitting 2.5" O2 housing w/ 2.75" DP?

I'm stumped and can't find an answer and trust me - I searched.

Can I fit a 2.5" o2 housing (from Helix) to a 2.75" downpipe (Tanabe)? I'm assuming I'll reuse the stock donut gasket and it will fill the gap between them. Just want to be sure before I start disassembling my car. I know the o2 housing is not easy to get to.

Thanks,
Joe

Yeah, the donut gasket should bridge the gap between the two. This is assuming that your tanabe downpipe uses the stock donut gasket.

Helix 3" downpipes mate to their 2.5" o2 housings just fine using the stock donut gasket.

Great!

Mark,

Thanks for the response. That's exactly what I needed to know.
