O2 housing????

Ok well I keep hearing people tell other people to put an o2 housing with TBE and some other bolt on's to open the x up, Or I seen peoples sig, or just talk about there o2 housing on an X. But i have looked every where and can not find one for sale any where (AMS, BVP, BR, Vivid, U-R, ECT). So where are you at vendors are you guys going to sale the o2 housing for the X or no. If so can we also see a dyno chart for the gains. Thanks Joe

The gains were very minimal to nothing I believe. The stock piece is actually designed pretty well.

Drop us a PM when your ready to get one and we're make you a custom O2/down pipe combo like the one we use in our car . You'll make some nice gains in power - O2 down pipe is where the money is

I am waiting to buy an exhaust that is a true turbo back, not an 02 housing back. Although it is true that various vendors tested the downpipe and found that there wasn't much power if any to be made from it, AMS did say that all the power is unlocked by the 02 sensor (which actually isn't an o2 sensor like it was on the EVO 9 because there's no longer an 02 sensor in there anymore but we'll continue to call it that for the sake of keeping things simple) and showed cutaway pics of how restrictive it is.

At that time they were making an 02 housing/downpipe combination that they said produced gains of like 12 whp. If you look inside the stock piece compared to the AMS unit it's like a coffee stirrer next to a mcdonalds straw. However, they must have scrapped it for some stupid reason because it's since disappeared without even a peep about it since. Matter of fact, I am going to make a thread about this...

The AMS O2 is in the process of having the casting made. No need to worry

Bushur got 15WHP on his own car and some faster spoolup on the cheapo Megan 02 housing. They work.

Well ill drop you a PM but want to keep this thread a live a lil so other can see as well. Do you make the 02 housing separate or only as a one piece. I already have the U-R down pipe, just wanted to see if you can make a piece to attach to the down pipe.

If you can just make the 02 housing what would be the price and do you have any hp gains available.

For the 02 housing/down pipe, how much is that going to cost and if you have any hp gains available for this as well. Thanks Joe.

Actually the down pipe it's self got some pretty good gains from Ultimate Racing.
They did a dyno on there cat back exhaust, intake, and test pipe and got 313.10 awhp and 321.07 tq.

They added the down pipe and got 320.38 awhp and 327.14 tq.

Thats a awhp gain of 7.22 and tq gain of 6.07 for $150.00. Not to bad IMO.

T1R will have an O2 housing available later this summer. Here are some pics of the prototype we're testing now.
