-64 Degree Timing

I just logged by car's timing advance at idle and was about to do some runs but it reads -64 degrees for Ignition Timing.... Is there sometihng wrong with my car? I thought the timing was suppose to start around 0 degrees and then moved to 20 degress by redline...?

How did you log it? Using what? You are right in your thought process that -64 is incorrect, in fact it is impossible.

I am logging with a laptop and Digimoto Lite software through OBD-2 Interface.

I have no experience with that software. Take it to a reputable DSM/EVO shop.

So what you are saying is you posted an answer but can't really help him?

I have an ELM323 chip, same hardware but I am using the freeware and get the same thing
Mitsu update rate sucks in general and that hardware is sketchy. Have tried logging while driving just to see if it reads anything useful?

Yea it keeps reading -64 degrees on timing advance.... So I guess it's just getting some arbitary value and not actually getting any data on timing. I ordered pocketlogger so hopefully it will give me the right numbers. But yea you are right the ELM323 / Scantool stuff is really sketcy...

But now at least I know I am not the only one getting a -64 degree timing advance
