i was driving my evo the other night and i noticed a bad vibration from 6000 to 7000 rpms i think i was in 3rd gear ne one got input

 

I'm assuming the vibration was under acceleration?

Was it a one time thing? Did it feel like the engine or the trans or just the whole car?

Were you driving over the rumble strip? j/k

 

Was it hot outside, maybe it was knocking? Got anything to data log with? Palm pilot etc?

 

no palm pilot but it was under excelration and it kinda felt like the motor

 

need more info... balance shafts, harmonic dampener, could be anything with your desription..

 

Did you try to do it again - to see if it still happens?

 

it has only happen twice and it seams to happen after i have beating on it for a while

 

What gas are you using and have you been tuned?

 

did it just vibrate? or vibrate and slowed down?

 

just a vibration at high rpm and i use shell v power 93 and i have not been tuned

 

There could be a lean condition from the intake altering the MAF readings and that mixed with the heat and humidity + running the car hard could have caused some knock.

Most people on here will say after getting an intake, you are going to need a tune.

 

so knock will make my car vibrate?
