They all make the same power man...any differences are too negligible to measure. It all comes down to cost - and sound if that is an issue to you.

I had the APS on my Evo before I sold the car. Hands down the best exhaust you can get this side of a nice Ti system. It's pretty light, sounds amazing and I made 352 AWHP on a Mustang Dyno through it with the stock turbo and engine.

I have it and think its great. Fits perfect, doesnt rattle or rub on anything. I felt the increase in power when I put it on, but I have not dyno'd or anything.

I heard that it's very quiet. Is it true?

HKS RS Intake, boost controller @ 22 psi, GSC Cams (272/264), Megan Downpipe, APS Exhaust, cat delete, TurboTrix flash were the power mods. I went a 12.09 @ 115 on the stock clutch (1.66 60') and it was starting to have trouble. I put in an ACT 6 puck and then decided to sell the car. It would have gone way into the 11s with that clutch, holy crap, it was a ***** to drive on the street though. It grabbed very hard.

Yes, this exhaust sounds smooth and is not too loud, even when I had the cat delete. It's perfect!

These exhausts are very good quality very quiet exhaust for the evo and still a good power gain over stock. It also has the option for a high flow cat or not.

Very good choice for someone who doesn't want to be to flashy but still wants the performance.

APS Exhaust

I have this exhaust as well. Fitment perfect - does not rattle. Exhaust is quieter than most other 3" exhausts out there that I have heard personally. The only one quieter that I have heard to date is a guy that has 3 resonators in addition to his Magnaflow muffler. One of his resonators was where the cat would go if I recall correctly.

I have cams, 10.5 housing, engine management and some other goodies.

You will be satisfied with this exhaust, even with cat delete its fairly quiet and the tip is not that much bigger than stock. You would have to look for it IMO.

Evotexas,

Why use the Megan DP?

The APS is only sold as a full TBE (not catback) so it already comes with a 3" DP?

As a side-note; anyone know if the APS downpipe fits the 6 speed "MR" without fouling the transfer case and/or oil pan (I know it clears the tie bars with the spacers they supply).

APS vs AVO 3"

I'm currently deciding between the APS and AVO TBE as part of my first batch of mods

Any chance those of you who have the APS 3" TBE could post some pics up ?

Thanks.

I already had the DP and cat delete. I found a deal that let me just buy the APS catback portion.

It seems as though you can order the APS exhaust pieces separately through turbochargers.com.
Anyone every buy the exhaust through them before?

Evotexas,

What year EVO did you have?? And how did you like that Megan DP?? I've considered the same for mine (specially because of price) but haven't had anyone speak up on fitment for the '05s.

Thanks and sorry to high jack the thread.

aps

I have the APS 3.5 exhaust and love it. It screams at WOT and is mellow when normal driving, great quality too.
