I also have 2011 gsr with bolt ons i use the Cobb tuner and i like it. Its a pretty noticable difference when you hook it up. Its pretty easy to use and if you want you can always have a tuner make you a custom map or if you get your car dyno tuned you can have them use it to make your map and save it for you.

May I ask why you are opting to Cobbs and not use the stock ECU?

I suggest you read up on Evoscan section of the tuning forum.

cobb is good but still just a Basic tune. A tuner can tune YOUR car to what it works well with and get better performance out of it.

I think the OP needs some clarification here... You can use off the shelf maps with the Cobb or get a pro tune. In my area any tuner I've worked with can do a Cobb pro tune. You can also use accesstuner race and tune the car yourself.

I drove around for months with an OTS tune. They really are night and day from a stock tune, and allow you to add a few mods and still not pay for a protune. That being said, the protune I had done was night and day to the OTS tune. The best money you can spend on your car IMO is a pro tune from a reputable tuner.

These cars have very sophisticated ECU's and will benefit from tuning for just about anything you bolt on.

I just switched from Cobb to Ecuflash, mainly because of the preference of my Tuner for the mods I have now.
