Newbie in NYC needs advice for OZ
I've been wanting to give my OZ a little personality since I got it and have a few things planned. I'm pretty new to the whole mod world and there's a few questions that I figured the Lancer Forum guru's could help me with. Alright here are the questions:
1)Speaking on HP, if I got a performance exhaust and a better air intake, would should I expect in all around performance?
3)The Zenon kit is available by mail order from www.body-kit.com, has anyone ever dealt with these guys considering their a world away (for us yanks) in Sri Lanka
2)Would anyone know of the best place in the NYC area to get said mods (and anything else to make the OZ the sh@#$) done?
I'll say thanks in advance cause I know you guys out there know your stuff and will be able to help. And hopefully as soon as i get a few things done I can put up some pic's. Thanks.

Well you're not going to gain to much as far as horsepower with simple bolt-ons. At most 10 and that's a stretch. Real horsepower for a Lancer will only come from a supercharger or a turbocharger. As for the kit from Accolade, you might want to try Shark Racing or perhaps nopi.com for an alternative in the Kaminari kit. About NY though...can't help you on that, that whole distance of 3k miles is kinda detriment.
welcome
welcome to the LF
About your questions just search the forums. Exhaust and intake pushes out some HP but then you have to realize that different products give out more or less than others. jus do some browsing. The body kit you want can be baught within the US. Check out www.SharkRacing.com . however you will not find alot of parts for the lancer just yet. Currently people on the LF are talking to parts manufacturers to get mre parts.
Hope this is a good enough answer. Again welcome and just check out the forums and youll usually find what your looking for.

Oh yeah...per your newbie initiation you are granted the URL to the parts list. It's kinda getting to be standard issue now. I guess I'll have to work on one when the Evo lands here. At least it'll be a lot more interesting to make that list!

Exxxxcelent - i didn't expect to get responses so quick. thanks for the advice guys. I've checked out nopi and shark racing. Shark orders the Zenon from the same company in Sri Lanka, but Shark has it for $300 dollars cheaper, go figure. I'll probably go straight for the exterior mods for now, waste my money looking good. Theres no where to drive fast here anyway
Cnile, im in Brklyn too, im all ears for places to go. I'm gonna be

As far as places to drive fast...when I go to Brooklyn the Belt's always fun.
There are precious few places in the world with no cops, and if you speed you're taking your chances regardless, so you may as well just do it somewhere that's decently paved, fun to drive and doesn't have too many cars (at night).Anywho, welcome to the forums. Hope you enjoy your stay. You shouldn't need a shop to do most of the available mods unless you're mechanically inept or just plain lazy. There's nothing you can't do with the right tools at this point. Arguably the most complicated mods available now are suspension related (springs, shocks, coilovers etc.). If you buy the parts you could pretty much take them to any capable shop and have them installed. Anything short of that should just take an hour to a couple hours and a little patience. Good luck.
