There was a TSB about drivetrain noise that someone posted. It's a common occurrance so do a search. I also have it on my 2005 Apex Silver EVO with only 1100 babied miles so I know it's a normal.

mine does the same thing but its on a 2-3 shift. my car only has 300 miles on it so im hopeing it will wear in.

Mine is doing this as well, but its louder than I think it should be.... the whining noise only happens loudly when I am decelerating, it kind of sounds like a throw out bearing is bad, cause it goes away when I push in the clutch.... is this possible? the car only has 700 miles on it. Any one have any experiences with this?

the reason it goes away when you push in the clutch peddle is because the gear isnt engaged anymore. now if a rattle goes away when you push it in than you most likly have a bad throw out bearing.
