That doesn't make much sense to me. . .

15whp/300whp = .05 , that's 5% increase in power
15lbs/3000lbs = .005 , that's .5% increase in weight
15lbs is hardly noticeable in a 3000+ lbs car.

i finally had some free time to do some data logging with the XSP intercooler.
this is the data with the stock intercooler, outside temp was around 68 deg.
Time, RPM , Timing, Intake Air Temp
9.54 6461.0 16.0 82.0
9.73 6563.0 17.0 82.0
9.93 6668.0 17.0 82.0
10.13 6762.0 17.0 82.0
10.33 6875.0 19.0 81.0
10.52 6969.0 19.0 81.0
10.72 7055.0 18.0 81.0
10.92 7137.0 18.0 81.0
11.12 7203.0 18.0 81.0
11.31 7289.0 18.0 81.0
11.51 7410.0 19.0 81.0
11.71 7457.0 19.0 81.0
11.91 7516.0 19.0 81.0
12.1 7582.0 19.0 81.0
this is the data with the XSP intercooler, outside temp was around 75 deg.
Time, RPM , Timing, Intake Air Temp
5.35 6387.0 16.0 86.0
5.55 6531.0 15.0 86.0
5.75 6648.0 15.0 84.0
5.94 6781.0 16.0 84.0
6.14 6887.0 18.0 84.0
6.34 6996.0 18.0 84.0
6.54 7117.0 18.0 84.0
6.74 7199.0 18.0 84.0
6.93 7305.0 20.0 84.0
humidity was about the same for both days. as you can see, there's only a slight improvement over stock IC, but the margin could be larger if i was running higher boost as the stock intercooler does a pretty good job at close to stock boost. i forgot to log air flow and load before i swap intercooler, so i can't say if they have improve or not.
