AMS exhaust?

I have already done a bunch of searches. I would just like to hear from people who have installed or heard the turbo back exhaust with test pipe. Im looking for an exhaust that doesnt drone on the freeway. I dont mind it getting loud at WOT. Is this the exhaust for me. Are you guys with this exhaust happy? And will thier downpipe fit without rattling on an 05? Fit and finish is very important to me.

thanks

Without a cat it's not too loud. With the windows up and A/C on you could hear it at ~3500 rpm cruise if you tried. It's not overly loud, real throaty. It sounds really MEAN when when you go WOT esp. at high rpm. Fits like a glove.

I have the high flow cat so I can't really answer any sound questions, but in terms of fitment on an 05, it fits mine perfectly. I thought there may be a slight clearance issue but I've never had a rattling problem. I've had mine on since march.

Yeah a $150 more and your supporting a local shop instead of some nerdy college kid whoring parts out of his dorm room.

OH yeah and Greddy blows, its not a true 3".

Are you saying a Greddy titanium TBE costs less than the AMS TBE? Considering the Greddy Ti _CATBACK_ costs around $800, that would mean the AMS costs $1200-1300?

I was told by ams that I would have to remove the lower tie bars if I wanted to use thier downpipe. Do the lower tie bars do a lot for the chassis?

You'll have to excuse me, I know this isn't the propper forum, but I've got a beautiful 1000mile old AMS exhaust for sale.

$400 shipped.

If you go to srvidz.com there is a black evo with 600hp and it has a AMS exhaust I think. The car was built and tuned by AMS so I would assume the exhaust is AMS. Anyway there are vidz of it steet raceing and you can hear his exhaust and it sounds really good.

i believe that black evo runs a buschur exhaust but i could be wrong....anyhow i have a full AMS tbe with a test pipe and its a very nice exhaust! i have no complaints about it, i had to remove the tier bars just to make installation easier but i was able to put it back on once the fitment was in....no real issues, sounds great while cruisin and best sounding exhaust IMO at full throttle, dont listen to the people sayin it cost 1300....you can get it for well under 1000 bux 895 w/ a test pipe, avg price if you ask me

mine was barely touching, nothing that a washer didn't fix.

Exhaust sounds good, I tend to think it's a bit loud though.
