Transmission Oil Question for my MR
I just emailed evomoto about their "Diaqueen Super Multi Gear Oil"
to see if the tin has enough oil for a tranny fluid change in my MR. They responded by telling me that it's for the rear diff and t-case and to use Syncroshift for the tranny. Wait a minute!
Isn't "Diaqueen GL5 LSD Oil" for the rear diff and t-case while the Super Multi made specifically for the six speed tranny? If I'm wrong then why would the MR require its own special rear diff and t-case oil when it's mechanically identical to the GSR and RS? I'm trying to stay OEM with my fluids which is why I'm interested.

I don't know...but just want to confirm you're "suppose" to use MR Diaqueen in MR tcase and rear diff...that's all I know...everyone else is cool with regular Diaqueen.

I read that it is NOT to be used on the regular Evos but ONLY on the MR.
I used the Diaqueen LSD (gl-5)on my 04GSR, recently, and it's pretty good and highly recommended. I don't think I would change to anything else for the center and rear differentials.
For the trans.. I had the stock oem for about 15K miles, changed to Royal Purple for about 4K miles and now to a Redline concoction my friend made for about 1K miles.. and the car drives near perfect.

I'm getting close to changing my fluids out. When I do, I'm going to try to take advantage of the free maintainance schedule and have Mitsu reimburse me for the fluids.
If you have an 05, you should've gotten the free maintainance as well.

Too bad you can't use the Diaqueen GL-5 Gear Oil I use, you know I would have hooked you up!

They inspect it and make sure the levels are good, but does not state about replacing the fluids except the engine oil and filter.

we'll my 04 came with the free maintenance, but not like the one MIevo8MR listed. It's pretty much just free oil changes and inspections. Model year close-outs specials, I guess.
