I preffer the copper based BR8ES plugs. Better spark, they just wear out faster. Also DO NOT GAP the iridium plugs if you get them. And BTW, one step colder than stock would be the 7s.

The stock plugs are 7s, one step colder would be 8s. If you don't believe me go pull the plugs out of your car and look model number. I've been using BR8ES for ~7000 miles and they've been great, although they do have to be changed more often than the iridiums. I'll probably end up going back to 7s for winter as it gets pretty cold here and I think cold start could be an issue with the 8s.

I read good reviews about BR8ES cooper.

Anyway I prefer the iridium ones since I do not want to change the plugs more often.

I read good/bad things about Denso IW24

I read good/bad things about the HKS S40G that is supposed to be made by Denso.

B= 14mm thread diameter
P= Projected insulator type
R= Resistor type
7= Heat range. Higher numbers are colder
E= 19mm thread reach (?)

ES= standard 2.5mm center electrode
IX= Iridium

To go or not with a projecte insulator type...

Thumbs up Br8eix

Pls see the condition on my original (stock) NGK Iridium plugs after 34,500km. I was expecting much worse than this. Could I have your valueable feedback pls? Thx.

I have replaced the stockers with BR8EIX and so far very pleasing behaviour. I even did an autox event and no problemo what so ever...

Would highly recommend guys...a lot of milage out iridium plugs as you can see.

Tom
