Loss of mid-range after BOV install??

i just installed my GFB stealth bov last night and i have it on about 60% recir and 40% VTA. i have no stalling or fluttering issues wat so ever and it seems like my boost hold more steady at WOT, but it seems as though that i lost a noticable amount of mid-range power from about 3500-5000. before with the stock valve it seemed to just have more torque and got up went better and now just from the butt dyno, feels weaker? anyone experience this with any bov or the GFB in particular? what would be causing this? i know im running richer now that its venting 40% but i have no issues with idling or fluttering wat so ever. any help would be great

The spring tension is probably too loose and leaking air, did you try adjusting it?

i dont think its the spring tension because its supposed to hold boost no matter wat tension its at. spring tension adjusts how long the valve is open when releasing air. anyone else?

Have you tried setting it to full recirc to see if it's still doing it?

i have an hks super sequential recirculating back into my hks rs intake, i have not had any issures with power loss and it holds boost better than before even though im on stock boost, if i was you id put it to full recirculation and make sure nothing is loose

How's the HKS SSQ sound w/ recirculating ? Loud?

My stock BOV doesnt do a bad job, the only downfall on the SSQ is that it only holds 25psi thats good for now but I may want to get a bigger turbo in the future.

oh and dude the hks super sequential can handle any amount of boost, its a pull type valve instead of a push type so it stays closed against its seat
