Calling all AVC-R pro's. Need help.

Ok I just finished up the install with my avc-r. but I have a big problem, it wont hit anything over 10lbs of boost. all the adjustments in the world and i can get it to spike to about 14lbut fabs ll right back down. I also got a code: Turbocharger Wastegate System Malfunction that came up once, but I reset my ecu and reset the avc-r and haven't seen it pop back up. Maybe I did something wrong on the initial setup? Should I reset the avc-r and try to go through another setup? Do I have to go through the learn gear process?

Anyone have any clues? Im going to go snap some pictures of the setup and have you guys double check that everything is alright.

thanks

10lbs indicates your apex'i solenoid isn't actually controlling the boost. Double check the connection to the solenoid and make sure its not reversed.

the ports look off. You have your lines mixed up. Put the boost line on the side and the wastegate line up top. Don't worry about the cel light. It just says that the stock boost solenoid is disconnected.

Make a loop back for the stock solenoid and leave it connected and you won't get a cel light.

correction, just to make sure we got the same orientation of the avcr, my solenoid is set up as so. The wires coming out of the solenoid are facing down. the wastegate port faces up and the boost line is coming out from the right side. There is no port on the left side and there is another port on the bottom which is left unplugged.

nope, switch the hoses. You have them reversed. The wastegate line goes where the boost source line goes and vice versa.

The Gold Nipple connects to the COM side of you Solenoid
The Black Nipple connects to the NO side of your Solenoid

Also, do not leave that solenoid dangling, that will ruin the unit in a very short amount of time!

If you could watch that thing twitch while your shifting under boost you would see what I mean--not a good thing

Ok, also, are you running that 6mm hose from the solenoid to the turbo???? You can't do that, you'll need to convert it to 4mm. The kit came with a couple of reducers, if your out of them you can buy a box of different sizes from O'Reilly's or Autozone for about $7. Your asking for a serious boost leak attaching 6mm hose to the 4mm nipples.
