I am thinking of going back to stock cat-back. I have right now the Borla catback. But the sound is getting to me. What do you guys think?

Papito, I just went through this with the HKS Hi-Power. One of the more quiet cat-backs but still too loud for me...almost bought your Apexi. Anyway, I ended up purchasing the Fujitsubo RM01A from Kami Speed. AS QUIET as stock at idle and cruising, slightly louder but NO DRONE at WOT. Exhaust has a meaner sound to it under WOT. IMHO, it's the perfect cat-back. The Legalis R (also Fujitsubo) is similar, has two resonators like the RM01A but a larger oval muffler and it looks like it's a two-piece instead of a 1-piece like the RM01A (easier to ship!) I know Kami-Speed has great deals on them and I know they have at least one more RM01A in stock, plus a Ti version of the exhaust and some Legalis R's inbound? I'd check with them directly. You wouldn't even consider going back to stock with a Fujitsubo. It's that good.

I will take a look at that cat-back. Any sound clips on their site? The Apexi I had was quiter than the Borla. But the borla just gets to you. Its too loud in the morning under cold start. Other than that its a great cat-back.

The JIC bullet I have has a very loud drone when off the throttle.....unless the silencer is in then it sounds like stock. At idle it is a nice low burble and WOT has a growl, still not as loud as when off throttle though...

i don't get it, is stock too loud for you? if you're modding for power, i wouldn't expect to keep it that quiet for long. There are definitly some nice quiet exhaust out there tho, as many of these helpful people have posted

Seriously, if you want to hear what the Fujitsubo sounds like on your car, put the stock exhaust back on! There's no droning on deceleration, it's very quiet upon startup, etc...

i got a thermal cat back with obx headers and high flow cat and its so quite. you cant tell that there is an aftermarket system on the car till you get on it. thermal is pricey but i think its well worth it . cat back looks stock too just chromed out fools the jack A$$ cops that like to give tickets for loud exhausts based on looks
