Just got back from KTR in Ayer

First off, wanna say, they are a great bunch of guys to deal with down there.

Numbers were 239.3 / 235.2 at 19.5 tapering to about 16 psi

Best of 4 runs on a Dyno-Dynamic Dyno.

why was it tapering to 13psi, it sounds like you have a nasty boost leak somewhere

well I had nothing but problems with ktr. I think that shop blows. They have all kinds of money a rediculous place and the have no clue how to work on cars or to treat their custumers. My buddy that had a 02 vw gti vr6 went there for a clutch and tranny and it took them a month to even call him back. When they finally called and said the car was done I drove him out there to see that the were still fooling around with it. We sat around there for 2 hour and then they pulled it out of the garage and realized that every gear was engaging into reverse. They should know how to preform a simple two wheel drive tranny and clutch job and they shouldn't of called and said the car was all set till they checked it. I would never bring my evo or tell anyone to go there for repair or service because that place is a total joke!!!

Those numbers don't seem very good for a Dyno tune with your mods. Please correct me if I am wrong?

its a dyno dynamics dyno, the lowest possible dyno numbers will be seen on this dyno, and also his boost is incredibly low, 16psi at redline is nothing

yes he does know his ****, but in the last year or so the shop has gone really downhill. almost all of the decent mechanics there have left and they are all set on thier products. aka telling an evo owner a safc is useless, but yet it has been proven time and time again to work wonders.

You know better than Franz regrading the S-AFC.. he gave you his opinions. If you did not like it, leave and don't use his services.

He's been tuning cars for the longest time and knows what he is talking about. Did he give you a reason why he did not like the S-AFC ? Granted they are an Ecutek dealer, but as far as I know they are very reasonable when it comes to explain why such and such is needed instead of using 'hacks'

So don't tell half of the story .. spill the beans..

Who left ? No ONE that I am aware of.. Tim, Scott, Scott and Franz are still there...

Betcha those people are not complaining

Above all - a well know fabricator south of Boston got tuned here

No tune, just a couple pulls so i could get a baseline at what i have for when i get a flash and cams and my headers on.

I cant figure out why my Boost is dropping off so much, Looks like a long leak testing project this weekend.

Franz defiantly knows his ****. $1200 for a custom tune yeah thats sick. They explained to me its $200/hr for 2hrs for thier time on the dyno and tuning your car, and there is a one time $650 license fee for the software. After that, you can have it flashed as much as you want without paying the $650. Dont think ill be taking that up anytime soon. It does suck thats its a Dyno-Dynamics Dyno, but it is the closest AWD dyno in my area, and so far they have treated me alright, Everyone down there was friendly, and i called to setup a time and was told franz would call me back in about a 1/2hr, and he sure did. I have no install service experiance, so maybe thats the problem everyone is having, but as far as the Dyno was concerned, they are alright in my book,

Sean
