Is a flash my best option with this turbo?

Hey.
I just got my percision 60 trim turbo. I have 680cc injectors,exhaust,i/c piping intake, walbro 255 and all the basic stuff. Im having trouble with the shop i go to with money and getting ripped off. I ran a 12.5 before the turbo and now the car feels weak. The turbo doesnt spool untill around 5. Im running 20 lbs and its slow. I mean like srt-4 slow. I dont think i could touch a 12.5 now. Anyways im tuning with a afc the shop did a horrible tune. The turbo could just not work with my car or i just need a good tune. Anyways i have no1 to tune my afc anymore that i am willing to deal with. Ive always blew off the flash since i had a long line of mods but im close to being finished and my car is slow. Can the flash (mail-in) work for me with the turbo and 680s? I dont know what my options are anymore. Im tired of spending money. Ive heard nothing bad about the flash and im ready to dump the afc. But im in school and cant drive to see al to dyno it. Give me some advice.

Dude, with an upgraded turbo and decent mod list, why the heck would you even consider a "mail in flash" ? Go with a custom tune!

the biggest problem with the afc & bigger injectors is the more you go -% the higher your timing! it's telling the ecu your seeing less airflow so it bumps up the timing so on pump gas it is probably "knocking" & probably pulling timing (making it feel slow). i think al could make leaps & bounds over your afc but keep the afc have al base flash your car then fine tune with the afc for race fuel ect. get another shop to help you out with your afc tune afterwards also.
also make sure you don't have any boost leaks or anything that can cause some serious power issues.

I flash will help because you can set the timing, however, even if you up the boost to 22psi, its not going to be that fast. Huge turbos like that are meant to be run at 26+psi. They arent even in their efficiency range at that boost, add that with much slower spool.... stock turbo would kill it (properly modded one assuming). You might make a nice peak number but at 4-6k rpm that stock turbo'd car is going to have 100whp+ on you. You plan on running race gas or alcy soon?

With a set up like that a custom tune is the best option a reflash will work fine provided the reat of the set up is properly set up

I can try a mail in and see how it works if I will not be in your area in the near future

I would suggest you come up to Buschur next month the 14th and get it tuned on his mustang dyno - I will be there then and can take care of your needs at that time
