alky injection response time?

Is there any delay in the response of an alky injection system if you go from no boost to full boost really quickly...say, cruising at light throttle at 4500 rpm and then suddenly WOT? This isn't the sort of boost response that you'd see on the dyno with a long pull, or even on the drag strip. Just wondering if the alky kits are designed for this sort of erratic boost spike and whether they can ramp up fast enough to keep up. I know on the alkycontrol kits there is a gain setting and I'm not sure how that would come into play when you are dealing with varying boost ramp rates.

For those with alky kits, have you seen any sorts of driving that are a no-no with alky? I guess some of this would be difficult to monitor without a wideband gauge in the car.

Thanks.

When I set up my kit I was testing it by manually gounding the map sensor that it came with. The moment I would ground the sensor I would get injector squirting. Just don't let the lines get dry and keep the solenoid close to the injector.

I see a lot of kits with no solenoids out there. Big No No... My system is pressurised to 100psi with fluid and when the boost hits it flows at high velocity 18" from the intake.

I got my kit installed but I have not actually tuned for yet. The coolingmist kit IMO is pretty good. Its very simple design which I like. Not many parts that can go bad. I have been learning UTEC and I just got my normal 93octane map working fine. I don't want to be running meth and 25psi till I get headstuds.

If you want a nice kit thats cheap and simple go with coolingmist. You can purchase it direct from them or go thru logicperformance. IMO use logic so chris can make some $$$

only bad thing with the coolingmist kits are the pressure switches are crap. i broke two of them under high boost. i didn't notice it until i did a boost leak test and it was leaking like a banshee. on the third attempt i installed a pressure switch from nos and haven't had a problem with it at all.

yep that's the one that nos uses. definitely recommended if you have a coolingmist kit IMO.
