well what gear is it tapering like that? fourth gear may only taper bout 1 maybe 2, first, second, and third will taper bout 2 maybe three. Unless you get a tune or flash to help it hold.

Mine does not taper in any gear, but it will not build as much boost in lower gears. Although the taper may be normal for you car, I still have to ask if you left the stock boost pill installed when you installed your Hallman...

TBE with test pipe and a Hallman. I sometimes get a quick 1psi spike, but that is because I have the MBC installed off of the BOV line. It basically holds what it hits to redline.

I must disclaim, however. When I bought the car (used) it had the TBE. I went for a basline before mods, and on the dyno it made a little more power than the tuner thought it should for a stock engine. The curve looked better than stock. He suspected it had been flashed, or it could have been just the TBE with no cat. My AFR logs showed 10.8 to redline as well, which seems to be leaner than stock. No way for me to contact the original owner to ask about a flash, so take my results with a grain of salt

There is a restrictor in the factory vaccume line to the wastgate actuator. Called a "pill".

With the soft spring, most people can only make 18-21 (only 19 for me) and some cases cannot hold it there. With the heavy spring, you can go as high as the stock turbo will go Much caution required.

Keep in mind that the stock DV (BOV) is weak and usually starts leaking at some point...which changes whole equation...

I just installed my hallman pro mbc. Not the pro RX. Right now im boosting 15psi and have not tried to go higher. Im waiting until i install my walbro first. I followed the instructions on the hallman website for the evo. Do you think i got rid of the pill by doing there type of install? I used the nipple of the turbo to the inlet of the mbc, and the wastegate nipple to the outlet of the mbc. And i capped off one nipple on the wastegate acutator.

If you removed the lines per these diagrams, yes.

If you did not remove the factory lines, then you still have the pill.
