So my new to me 03 Tarmac Evo is running great. One thing I noticed that I wanted to ask you guys about was when Im slowing down and rolling to a stop my idle will surge down than itll even it self out and idle right at 900 rpm. Also happend if I back up then go to put into first. Anyone else expierience this mitsu says its because its turbo charged but my local dealer dont know an *** from an elbow. Thanks in advance

i would have to say that it's normal, think nothing of it and keep flying.

 

Normal all 03 04 have idle "issues" a good flash will take care of some of it

Yea I have Intake and turbosmart dual port bov

 

try tightening the bov down so it does not vta so soon.

 

I'm bone stock and I get that every once in a while. Mostly while doing a 3pt turn around or something. The idle will drop to about 200-300 rpms then come back in a second. No worries.

You need to check your fuel trims. It sounds like they are out of range.

 

happened on my 03, not on my 05.
