why give the guy an attitude? English is obviously not his first language. And in all honesty, he speaks it better than some people who speak English natively. But lets be a d*** about it to get your post count up. Obviously he is asking if the gt35r without the stroker kit is worth it.

I had a similar turbo to the GT35R on my Eclipse and it'd get 20psi by 4k RPMs -stock mitsu 7bolt motor with just cams and headgasket (~8.3:1 compression due to HG) and headstuds...of course now comparing to a stock '05 evo that lag is present, but in my Eclipse I never really thought of it like that. I no issues, just downshift and GOBS of power/tq readily available. My Eclipse was also a DD street car so if that says anything.

ok, the thing is I like gt35r kit.
But afrer i did some research on the kit, alot of people say if you not going to get the stroker kit then you should get gt30r because it's will not make a different so much
and boost alot quicker.

So i just want to know what do u guy that have gt35r kit think?

sorry about the bad english guyz

hey Barabara- just playin, o sensitive ones.

Regarding your question however, I looked into the 35R and looking at compressor maps, it just didn't seem to be the right fit. It's too big on a daily driver basis IMHO.

The GT35R is all about huge boost, and race fuel. You won't make even as much as I did on just 93 pump with the GT35R.

plus...do you really want to wait till like 4,900 - 5K to make full boost? I didn't

Gotta give huge props to TT on their kit they put together

I would recommend the 3076 or 3071 for the stock block, I think it's a great compromise especially if you aren't at sea level like myself. Also depends on how much you like the stock turbo, spool, torque, etc. Just ask yourself do you like torque/low end hp or are you a topender?

a buddy of mine is running a gt35r with no stroker kit. he runs about 21psi on the street and it spools up surprisingly quick, it will by no means give you that initial thrust that the stock turbo will give you though. i actually got a chance to drive it and it was very intense, especially in the 3rd gear/ 4th gear pulls. and if you want your car to be a complete monster on the street, get the 35r with some methanol

i'm using a 35R on the 2.0L
it's a little laggy but that's the fun of manual....just downshift and floor it...

it's a great turbo!

I really don't care about downshifting to get power. If i have to get on a merging highway I want to get boost to get going so i can merge. And i don't like slipping the clutch

great turbo kit, little lag in first gear. getting full boost at about 4200rpm's, but if your revving to 8500rpm then it all good! shift into 2nd and the turbo is right on top of you, hardly any lag at all. 3rd and 4th gears pull very hard! big boost is the key...the turbo is meant to be at 30psi or more, building your motor is strongly recommended. along with a host of other mods....the result , if you wanna make 600+whp this is the turbo for you..

stroker is a option not a must!
