AMS 2.3 stroker & 35R kit vs RNR 2.4 block & 35R kit: 91 Octane

I like both set ups. The red lines below are from a very nice car with a built 2.4 4g64 block and the RNR 35R turbo kit and AEM ems.

The black lines are my car with the AMS 2.3 stroker kit with their 35R turbo kit with the Xede.

Both cars were on 91 octane with no h20 or other injection. My boost was 19psi until 7000rpms. At that rpm, boost creeped up to 20psi. I'm not sure what boost the other car was running but from the looks of things, it was probably very similar or maybe a touch higher.

those are pretty low numbers for a stroker 35r is that the highest boost you can run with that kit on 91?

Interesting comparision. I bet the RnR car is using a larger A/R hotside then yours. Which is probably causing the later spool. Both should spool up around the same time regardless of EMS. That is amazing power on 91oct at 19-20psi.

One of the major differences between these cars is that the RNR car is on a standalone ems. I tuned that car on pump..for some reason i couldnt find some of its dyno files. On 22psi it ended up making different numbers than the ones listed.....Let me have a little more time before I fully respond to this so I can actually give a fair comparison. I need a little more street seat time with smoggys ride.

I could run another 2 or 3 psi and make a bunch more power, but I don't see the logic in running a "***** to the walls" 91 octane tune when I already have incredible power that is totally safe. When Tuning Technologies does their 91 octane shootout, we'll touch up the tune and run it another psi or two higher. That should be good for around 425whp and 380 torque.

Peak torque yeah, but check out about 1000 rpms earlier. The 2.3 is making a LOT more for a wider RPM band.
