2005 Evo transmission issues....
05 with 5k miles, i get locked out from nething to 2nd. when it does go in it feels soo notchy havent tried changing ne tranny fluid. Would tranny fluid or changing the lines help?
I had a similar "problem" with my 03. You got to take it easy with the 1-2 shifts otherwise you're gonna F*#&# up your tranny and probably the syncros. I put a short throw shifter in mine and solved my problem. Hope this helps.
It just simple shifts from 1-2 at 3k, or downshifts from 4 to 2 as a light turns green. but if i downshift from 4-3-2 it goes in smooth.

ignore the clutch line install if you arent installing one obviously.
almost 15000 miles on my 05 and no problem what so ever, been to the track many times runs like a champ, low 13's all night long, stock clutch and tranny have no sign of problem ,lock out of 2nd gear couple of times, but i found out that my hand was faster than my clutch foot ( so that problem is driver related).
My evo shifts a little notchy like you guys describe, but its new, its supposed to be like that. Don't expect butter smooth shifts like a Toyota with 100,000 miles on the clock.

well just slip it slightly at around 4000-4500, if u smell your clutch it s means u slip too much, i dont get the best 60' (1.9-1.8) but at least i am saving my clutch and still run decent times.
