I had a similar "problem" with my 03. You got to take it easy with the 1-2 shifts otherwise you're gonna F*#&# up your tranny and probably the syncros. I put a short throw shifter in mine and solved my problem. Hope this helps.

It just simple shifts from 1-2 at 3k, or downshifts from 4 to 2 as a light turns green. but if i downshift from 4-3-2 it goes in smooth.

do you rev match at all? if you rev match I don't see you having any shifting problems. I rev match all the time now and it makes a load of difference.

yeah do that....make sure you don't have any aftermarket stickers on it or they'll void your warranty

almost 15000 miles on my 05 and no problem what so ever, been to the track many times runs like a champ, low 13's all night long, stock clutch and tranny have no sign of problem ,lock out of 2nd gear couple of times, but i found out that my hand was faster than my clutch foot ( so that problem is driver related).

That's impressive... any particular technique? I think most on here will say you're approaching the limit.

My evo shifts a little notchy like you guys describe, but its new, its supposed to be like that. Don't expect butter smooth shifts like a Toyota with 100,000 miles on the clock.

I was at the track with jamie from WORKS, and he has over 100 launches with 30k on the clock and his stocker is still holding enough to give him consistent 1.8 60's.

well just slip it slightly at around 4000-4500, if u smell your clutch it s means u slip too much, i dont get the best 60' (1.9-1.8) but at least i am saving my clutch and still run decent times.
