I thinkl Warr handled the question very well, it seems that he is just getting frustrated at all the bad info that is going around. These guys are wasting money, and there are people that are encouraging that behavior. Both of the mods on this particular car are worthless on a stock vehicle, that has been proven many, many times.

I went with the Injen intake, simply because I have everything else done, and Im looking for more, even if it isn't substantial at all.

I suggest you go back and read my initial response. There was no "freakin fight." I answered your question by being direct instead of coddling you. I don't care how it makes you feel. I only care that you get the correct information and that you have your car performing at its best. I don't have time to tell you how cute it is that you work and go to school all the time while not having enough time or money to do anything (yet somehow you drive an Evo???).

Mike did the coddling and now you feel better, well great. He told you the same thing I did, but you didn't want to hear it in a forceful manner. Take his advice and heed it. Likewise, if you want to succeed in life, you should grow a slightly thicker hide.

WHAT? How is the AEM INTAKE????

Didn't we just get done telling you about intakes??? I thought you were "on a budget." You're going to replace an intake with another intake? I thought you wanted POWER.

This is how you make power:
- Exhaust
- Boost
- Tune

This is how you waste money:
- Intake
- BOV w/o boost control
- Intake
- BOV in VTA mode
- Intake

O.K. I disagree w/ warrtalon up to a point. I have the HKS Intake but not the Racing suction, just the mushroom after the MAF. I have gained power w/ this and a little, well a lot of noise. But I would gain a lot more power by sending my ecu to get flashed instead. I'm to lazy to send my ecu 4500 miles away anyway. I do have a safcII but very mildly tuned till i get time to get a wideband and properly tune it here, which is especially difficult cause there is no awd dyno here in hawaii. The thing is if you tune your car, you will be able to get much more power. venting to atmosphere is silly and wastes time. i recirc my type s, and the only reason i got it cause i got a good deal on it.
the best mod to start off w/ is a MBC, a turbo timer and a boost gauge. having a good turbo back exhaust will do wonders and so will headers, but i don't have either cause i don't want to annoy my neighbors(yet). i also would get a good intake before the maf.
I will conclude this by saying that i am running as fast as other evo's in the area w/ my mods that have catback exhausts and i have a stock exhaust. and i don't think it's cause of my driving skills.
I have examined the mega flow intake and the stock air box( which i am looking at right now). there is nothing special about the stock airbox except that it insulates from noise and moisture. and please nobody give me any bs about it being perfectly calibrated. a good aftermarket filter will let air in faster, which the maf will sense anyway. I cannot however say the same for the K&N or the Mega Suction from HKS cause they do alter the air AFTER the MAF and i have not used either of these components.

also i hope you learn in school how to spell it!

Haha. Please tell me they don't let you type like that in school. Nut up, man. Do you want your car to run well and have more power or not? Do you want to look like an illiterate, punk kid or not? Use proper words, proper spelling, and proper grammar, then go get the proper mods. I went 12.2s on $825 worth of mods. I'm all about going as fast as possible for as little money as possible. The moment you realize that is the moment you drop the kiddie attitude and start listening. I can help you...honestly.

warrtalon is a moron that guy doesn't know what the F*U*C*K is he talkign about any intake will looses hp due to sucking in hot air fromt he engine. Also The HKS SSQV is one of the well build BOV, the higher the pressure the harder for the leak. Some people run fine without recirculate and for me VTA work fine No idling problem. But it's better to recirculate anyway. Don't get an intake, it's waste. Like Mike from Forge said "get an K&N drop in work best".

I may not agree all the time w/ warrtalon but he is NOT a Moron. He has the timeslips to prove it. also Even though i have an hks filter, i don't think that the ssqv is that great, that's why i stuck w/ the type-s.
