Everything can be considered cheap insurance these days. Every major tuner and shop has said springs/retainers are a waste with any of the HKS cams. I have yet to see one DSM or EVO's head fail due to springs. Show me one (other than ones that havent revved TOO HIGH on the stock valvetrain) which no matter what the cams, it will ruin things...

just got my Works 269s with springs/retainers and will be installing next weekend..I'll post a vid of the idle/high rev with my 3" Buschur TBE when it's finished...
