need help evo not runin HELP ME PLEASE!
My friend's Talon got some bad gas and it ended up plugging the injectors. Chaned fuel pump filter bag and fuel filter and car still wouldn't run although it had adequate fuel pressure. That one was hard to find. Not likely but it's a thought. A compression check wouldn't hurt either although it sounds like it is fuel or ignition related. You could also check the fuel injection signals with a noid light. Scan would be the next best thing to try.
i went and got a code scanner. scanner picked up a bad crankshaft sensor and it turns out that the oil pump belt broke(it was shredded to pieces) and then ended up breaking the crankshaft sensor or the other way around. this is new to me. i've work on alot of dsm's and i've never had this happen is this a common problem with evo's. i've never heard of anything like this happening. kinda freaks me out. i hope i didn't do any internal damage. at least i wasn't going very fast when this happened. thanks for everyones help its very appreciated.
ok now i'm having another little problem. a searched around on the net and can't find a new sensor and belt where can i get one besides the dealer. my local mistu dealer here are big pain in the but and i don't like there business nor want to give them any . anyone have any thoughts on where i can get these parts
