Critique my future setup...

Well, the time has come to crack open the Evo8 potent powerplant. I've been reading and researching for about 6 months now, and its still clear as mud.

Here's what I'm thinking so far:
Full Race Stage 2 GT turbo kit: GT 3037 turbo
http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=739

Along with that:
HKS 280/280 cams
HKS Cam gears
ARP headstuds

SAFC with 255lph fuel pump
720cc injectors

DynoFlash...but seriously thinking of HKS F-Con or AEM EMS.

Also, little things such as:
FPR
Fuel rail
Timing belt
Headgasket
etc....

I'm not looking for a dyno queen, or a drag car, but just something a little powerfull...11's would be nice.

I'm interested in everyone's opinions and suggestions...thanks!

You can get into the 11s with the stock turbo and stock injectors ....
You could try this route:

1. TBE
2. Cams
3. Reflash or some sort of engine management
4. High flow Panel filter
5. May be alky injection ...

A few members here (Warrtalon) have been hitting 12.0s flat with less that this ...

If you're not going to race the car, I see no reason for a 3037. You can get 400whp with instantaneous spool out of the stock turbo, and you can do so without spending a ton of money or dealing with expensive installs.

If you do go with an upgraded turbo, I would not waste time with a flash + S-AFC. I'd go with AEM EMS or at least an advanced piggyback.

I plan to hit 11s this Friday with the stock turbo and stock cams, so your mod list should be good for 11s without trying. Then again, the stock turbo with all the right mods is good for 11s without trying, too.

You don't need any of these items if your goal is to get into the 11s, period. Invest the savings in an alcohol injection kit, and a dyno tuning session. You'll get into the 11s with money to spare.

I agree 100%. Try it all out with the stock turbo first and then decide whether you really need a larger turbo.

For that kind of money (less, actually), I would be looking at a Vishnu stage 2 with a 3071, managed by the Vishnu XEDE w/ SMART. That will definitely give you a car that will dip into the 11s, great driveability, and you'll still have enough money left over for other things (clutch?).

Well....after doing some more research, I'm leaning towards Bushurs Stage packages. I think I'll work my way up to Stage 4, then see where we're at. That'll cover most of the general mods, and I can see if its worth the $ to invest in a full upgraded turbo kit.

^^ a wise decision...

Be very, very careful when considering turbo upgrades ... they are not for everyone.
