Forced Performance Camshafts

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with any of the three grinds forced performance is offering. Because they show actual durations and lifts (not advertised like HKS and Revolver), is there a formula that can be used to plug in the numbers other companies show to come up with an actual durations? These cams are only 219 a piece for intake and exhaust, which seems to be a really good price from a reputable company, but i am looking for personal experience/knowledge on them. Heres the link: http://linux.forcedperformance.net/m...ode=Lancer_EVO

Thanks in advance.
Josh

Piper also advertises the actual durations...

http://www.pipercams.co.uk/NewPiperW...CamFrames.html

These are interesting, I'm not sure what the logic is though

GROUP A
217 deg 212 deg
265 deg 267 deg
.453"
11.50mm
----------------------------
.378"
9.60mm
106 deg 108 deg N/A N/A HYDRAULIC £529 Blank

Less lift and longer duration on the exhaust side... That's even less lift than stock. I'm wondering what the reasoning was there.

RACE
224 deg 224 deg
272 deg 272 deg
.472"
12.00mm
----------------------------
.472"
12.00mm
108 deg 107 deg N/A N/A HYDRAULIC £529 Blank

lots of talk of these on the "DSM" boards, but I haven't seen much here myself.

A friend of mine recently installed the FP 272 cams in his GSX and he loves them. I think they're worth a shot.

New billets. On DSMs the 2s have made more power than the 272s with a much nicer idle.
I ran the 3s on my 2.4 and picked up 3mph off of my 272s.

I have FP2's on my Eclipse..amazing product. Nearly stock idle, and makes the same if not more power than the HKS272's up top. FYI they're made by Comp Cams, but COMP 0100's and 0200's are NOT the same as FP1/FP2. FP designed, Comp made for sale by FP. HTH.

The FP3 is not at all like the HKS 280. It was designed specifically for the 100mm stroke engines and their higher piston velocity. It has very aggressive ramp profiles and holds the valves near full lift MUCH longer than any other cam on the market. Compared to a HKS cam the lobe looks downright square.
The only downside is they require strong dual springs, I ran supertech duals on my car which are 250lbs at full valve lift and around 96lbs seat pressure.
