System Readiness Check....Failed

I ran a system Readiness check with my scanner today and it failed.

The EGR system is not working acording to the scanner, only thing is it's not throwing any codes just sayin gthe EGR system is not ready. Any ideas?

is your SES on?

no my SES is not on... and i ran the check with the car on and off and i get the same result.

I'm not sure on the make of the scanner, i'll have to check.

the car's monitor hasn't run yet. That's all. Nothing to worry about. The EGR readiness monitor is one of the last ones to run. I believe the car needs to be ON for a certain amount of time, and then it also has to see a constant speed for an amount of time as well. Just drive the car for a couple more miles and it should run.
