i think APS is a popular choice, along with the JDM MR DV. just make sure its recirculating.

APS with the Injen here. No problems at all. I would recommend a flash.

you dont necesarily have to stick with the stock airbox...just the stock piping. if you change the piping it ****s up the maf and you have to get it retuned. correct me if im wrong

Ok, I've got the Injen setup and have tried a few BOV's. I started out with the stock one, it started leaking. I then went with the JDM MR BOV and it held great...until I went to the track and tried running 28psi, it started leaking. Now I'm on the Forge RS Recirculating valve. Easily holds as much boost as I tried putting to it (28psi last month). Only thing is...it's hard to get it to NOT flutter. If you don't mind sounding like a rattle snake every-so-often it's not a big deal. All 3 fit, I'm not sure how many other one fit on the Injen kit.

I had an APS BOV with the stock airbox and I recently upgraded to the Injen intake and used the APS BOV as well and I am very pleased.

This is a great intake system, very nice construction and install perfectly.

I am running straight 272's with this intake and no flash and I have NO idling or stalling issues.

Lesson at hand- people ***** too much.

i am feeling that one desires a BOV for noise/show. so far no other mods are listed that need a stronger than stock BOV. ricer? this subject should be rethought.

jdm dv is our stock bov in metal. our plastic bov leaks often. not much extra noise if that is what you want. aps twin vent recircs and makes a little extra high chirped noise. not like a gunshot. jdm is cheaper and will hold boost just as well as an aps. all other bov are a waste unless you are running some extremely high boost constatntly, like 25 lbs. stock box is fine, but if you want to to hear it suckin in get a $60 K&N cone filter and change it out with your box. you will not run bad or need to be tuned if you buy the parts i just mentioned, but you will see no performance increase. you won't see a performance increase with any bov, and intakes probably will hurt your car if anything with no other mods. if you want performance i recommend you buy a boost controller and gauge first (~same $) or an exhaust setup ($200 more then you planned). both will make you much more happy.

The Injen costs more than the HKS RS anyway, so this thread didn't make sense to begin with. A million people have the stock air box with an aftermarket bov, including many on this board as has been discussed many times. We've told you time and time again not to get this mod first, because you don't need one unless you're running higher boost. Without making more power and running higher boost, you have no need for a new BOV. If you absolutely must have one, then get the JDM MR DV for $110 from NoLimitMotorsports...or buy a very cheap used one off a IX owner who upgrades to an expensive aftermarket one. If you decide on APS, you won't be disappointed as far as performance, but it just costs more than double the other one I mentioned.

I have the Injen system with the stock BOV. It works fine. As to if it is worth it or not, I think it was. However, there are some people on the board that will fight until they are blue in the face and call you a fool for upgrading from the stock airbox.

It looks nice in the engine bay, plus I got a little more hp. It was woth it to me.

That's all that matters. If paying $400 to look nice in the engine bay is OK with you, then don't worry about what we say. We prefer to gain lots of power with no detriment to our driveability and power delivery when spending $400. You say you got a little more hp...do you have a dynograph to show that? Do you know what affect it had on your AFRs or how smooth your power is through the entire powerband?

Whats Up With All These Bov Threads! Its Like When Someone Buys An Evo The First Thing They Do Is Look Up Which Bov And Exhaust Sound The Coolest Rather Than Which One Is Functionally The Best
