ARRG - broke one clip, lost the other !

OK,

I was trying to switch out the spring in my BOV... to try and limit the fluttering. I was removing the air guide that directs air into the air box... and sure enough one of the clips fell into the black hole... lost forever. To make matter worse... I broke the second one... Great night huh.

So... does anyone know the part number for those little push pin clips? And where I can get some relatively quickly... I wouldn't mind buying 10-20 of them... as I know I will break them again in the future.

Thanks for any help
Tim

go to home depot. they have "scrivets" or push lock fasteners in their bulk stock bin. You should be able to pickup 10-20 for a couple of bucks. Also you can temporarily steal some from the trunk liner until you can pick up replacements.

you can take some from your trunk to do in the mean time. DOnt run without the clips, otherwise the snorkel will get sucked up onto the hood and you will lose power. Just ask Warrelton. He spend two weeks trying to fix that problem

Dammit, it's WARR TALON!! Where do you people get this Warrelton crap?! Damnation.

Anyway, do what bigfishs said. Get some out of your trunk lining and don't drive around with no clips for too long, because you will get a nasty surprise at around 6k rpm.

Thanks for the advice... This happened to the car last night... and I haven't driven it since... in fact once I lost the first clip and the other clip broke I went inside and had a beer... I figured if I was breaking clips already... it wasn't the right night to be messing with my baby...

I will stop by home depot on the way home after work and see if I can find them... thanks to everyone for their help.

Get them out of your trunk lining. They're the exact same clips.

I live at Home Depot... i will never shop at Lowes... did once... BAD experience will never go back. I have probably spent around $70,000 at Home Depot... and still going strong...

Is it considered hijacking a thread... if it is your own?
